Darlene Smith is the Director of Administration, Finance and Education (DAFE), Darlene is responsible for the three areas attached to her job title, Darlene oversees the staff which consist of the Education Counselor, Receptionist, two staff members in the finance department, two bus drivers, and six special education assistants and one classroom assistant.

Darlene has several years of experience of office management and supervising staff.  Darlene has attained many training pertinent to her job. She is currently enrolled in the Human Resources Management Course offered by Canadore College though Seven Generation Education Institute. 

Darlene is a volunteer and a certified member on the Naicatchewenin First Nation First Response Team, Darlene has actively been involved on the team since November 2004.

Darlene is an energetic individual that likes to keep busy at all times. On a personal level, she is a mother of three daughters and a grandmother of four grandchildren.  Most of her interest involves traveling and has great interest in NASCAR and stock cars races!
